## Scope

Ontario, Canada. The programmes' own clinicians report that in May 2020 they launched the Long-term In-Home Ventilator Engagement programme on an e-platform, including regular questionnaires on symptoms and ventilator issues, remote Bluetooth downloading of ventilators instead of in-person downloads, and secure messaging, audio and video calls; 251 ventilator-assisted individuals were enrolled, and the clinicians included physicians, nurse practitioners and respiratory therapists. Outcomes reported are acceptability scores; the paper calls efficacy unproven and reports no change in therapists' hours.

## What this means

Home ventilation follow-up has moved partly onto remote data and calls, with therapists reviewing it.

## What it does not show yet

Acceptability results only, with no measure of therapists' time or of outcomes.

## How to verify it yourself

Open the Digital Health paper on the LIVE program (PMC10631340) and find "remote bluetooth downloading of ventilators".
