Jobs AI can't replace? Tasks it isn't taking#
No occupation on this site is AI-proof in every task. But some tasks stay with people — one per sector below, each backed by a verified record, each with what the judgement does not establish.
Deciding how pieces fit together
What it does not establish: Saying seniors are safe is not a statement about entry. The path to senior ran through two years of routine code, and nothing has replaced that path.
Being responsible for the load
What it does not establish: Someone must legally accept the freight, but that someone does not have to have driven it there. Hub models already split the two, and where they do, the acceptance work moves to dock staff on an hourly wage.
Talking to patients and families
What it does not establish: The site's own reasoning says the constraint is staffing, which is a funding problem. A task nobody intends to automate can still be a task nobody is paid enough to do.
Deciding what to assume
What it does not establish: Assumption-setting is the senior half of the job by definition. Analysts are not hired into it; they arrive after years of the modelling work that is being compressed.
Judging quality and defending the call
What it does not establish: Judgement becoming more valuable does not mean more people get to exercise it. A team that needed six designers to produce may need two to judge — the survivors are better paid and fewer.
Approvals and coordinating the team
What it does not establish: Negotiating with authorities is protected by how authorities work, which is a rule set, not a law of nature. Digital planning submission regimes are already narrowing what has to be argued in person.
Giving advice someone will act on
What it does not establish: A licensing rule is a policy choice, and policy choices are argued about when the cost difference becomes large enough. Several jurisdictions are already consulting on what non-lawyers may do.
Helping with the complicated cases
What it does not establish: Exceptions are a rising share of what walks in the door because the routine left, not because there are more exceptions. A branch serving only exceptions serves far fewer people and needs far fewer staff.
In Singapore#
The latest verified records whose source is a Singapore ministry or agency:
- 2026-08-12 Representatives sold about 97% of Singapore's new individual life and health premium in the first half of 2026; policies bought online directly from insurers were 1.0%, down from 1.5%

Which jobs can't AI replace?
No occupation on this site is untouched in every task, so no list of 'AI-proof jobs' would be honest. What does hold up is tasks: judgement someone is accountable for, work in unpredictable physical settings, and dealing with people when the stakes are real. This page shows one such task per sector, each backed by a verified record.
How many years until AI takes my job?
This site does not answer with a year, and neither does anyone who can show their working. What it gives instead is a signal you can check yourself on your occupation's page: which of your tasks are already automating somewhere, where adoption stalled, and what would change the picture.
Will AI replace jobs in Singapore?
The same task-level answer applies, and some of the evidence is local: the records below come from Singapore's own ministries and agencies — what was deployed, what was funded, and what the law now requires a person to sign.
Why no percentage?
Because a single 'chance of being replaced' for a job hides the only part you can act on — which tasks — and there is no evidence that could make that number checkable. Every judgement on this site says what it rests on and what it does not establish instead.
