Tasks this bears on
Assessing progress and preparing for the test
Judging when a pupil is ready, rehearsing test routes and manoeuvres, and explaining what the examiner will look for.

Where this applies
Great Britain. The driving test agency's bulletin says its updated guidance clarifies that cruise control (including adaptive), speed limiters, parking sensors and cameras, lane assist, blind spot monitoring and traffic sign recognition can be used during the driving test if fitted, but that self-parking and Tesla Autopilot cannot. It says the rules also apply to the cars driving instructors provide for a test. The test still assesses the pupil doing the manoeuvres.
What this means
The test keeps the manoeuvres with the pupil, even in cars that could do them alone.
What it does not yet show
One country's test rules, which can change as cars do.
What you can check
Open DVSA's bulletin "Rules for cars used for driving tests" and find "self-parking and Tesla autopilot cannot be used".
Does it change the assessment?
No. The impact index is never moved by a single event. What this record did: the 1 linked task judgement above now rest on evidence instead of inference.
