DeploymentAn employer has put it into production. Can move the baseline — weighted by scale and how similar the setting is.
Tasks this bears on
Framing and structural carpentry
Building the timber frame of a building: walls, floors and roofs, to plan and to level.
Being augmented✓ Evidence-backed
Where this applies
Germany. The statistics office reports that 22.2 percent of residential buildings completed in 2024 were prefabricated houses from a factory, and that completions of prefabricated residential buildings fell 15.5 percent from 2023, less than conventionally built ones (23.0 percent). Prefabrication here is not limited to timber; the figures count buildings, not carpenters' work.
What this means
About one in five new homes in Germany is built in a factory rather than framed on site.
What it does not yet show
Counts buildings of all materials; it does not measure carpentry work.
What you can check
Open Destatis press release N039 of 28 July 2025 and find "22,2 %".
Does it change the assessment?
No. The impact index is never moved by a single event. Nor did this record change a layer: all 1 linked judgement above already rested on earlier evidence. This one adds to them.
