Evidence stage
DeploymentAn employer has put it into production. Can move the baseline — weighted by scale and how similar the setting is.
Tasks this bears on
Building and maintaining models
Building 3D and BIM models with the data that drawings, schedules and permit checks are taken from.
Being augmented✓ Evidence-backed
Where this applies
Singapore. The building regulators' circular reports that more than 140 projects involving 300 firms have made submissions via CORENET X, with time savings of up to two months, and makes submissions via its gateway processes mandatory from 1 October 2026 for all new projects with gross floor area of 5,000 square metres and above; smaller projects may continue on the older system. Figures the agencies report about their own system; it does not say who inside a firm builds the models.
What this means
For larger Singapore projects, submitting a coordinated model is becoming the only route to approval.
What it does not yet show
One country's permit rule; it does not measure drafting work.
What you can check
Open the URA and BCA circular of 23 July 2026 (URA/PB/2026/08-DCG) and find "mandatory for all new projects with GFA of 5,000m² and above".
Does it change the assessment?
No. The impact index is never moved by a single event. Nor did this record change a layer: all 1 linked judgement above already rested on earlier evidence. This one adds to them.
