Coordinating contractors on site
Working with contractors and trades, answering questions on site, and inspecting that the work matches the design.

Where this applies
Louisiana. Section 3176 says no person other than one registered under the chapter shall perform interior design, meaning interior design services rendered for a fee; people offering decorator services (choosing finishes and loose furnishings that do not affect safety) are exempt but may not use the title. The chapter's definitions (section 3172) say the practice of interior design includes an analysis of a client's needs and goals and the safety requirements for the space, collaboration with licensed professionals in completing the project, and the review and evaluation of design problems during and after construction. The section was last amended by Act 426 of the 1999 regular session; under Louisiana's constitution such an act takes effect on 15 August unless it says otherwise, which is the date used here.
What this means
In at least one US state, taking the brief and resolving design problems on site are part of a licensed practice, so the person answerable for them must be registered, whatever tools they use.
What it does not yet show
One state's licensing law, with decorators exempt; it says nothing about AI or about other states.
What you can check
Open Louisiana R.S. 37:3176 on the Legislature's site and find "shall perform interior design".
Does it change the assessment?
No. The impact index is never moved by a single event. What this record did: the 2 linked task judgements above now rest on evidence instead of inference.
